For the curious: The background image for these pages is from a synthetic
classification problem I used for illustration in my PhD thesis. The blue crosses and red plus signs indicate
members from two classes plotted in the two dimensional space spanned by two informative variables.
The solid line indicates the "optimal" Bayes decision boundary.
